She made a promise, struck a deal. She’s been left alone and at times, she had even forgotten about the terms. But she never forgot it.

The pokemon wasn’t something you forgot easily. The furtive power it resonated was . . . intriguing.

Somehow it finds her, and the first mark of its approach is signaled by the deep rumble of the Houndooms’ growls. The woman turns to see the creature descend. An ominous presence settles across Route 114.

It’s come to settle a debt.

A shiver runs up her spine but the discomfort doesn’t show. She stares back, reaching for a pokeball at her hip. Time to feed the beast.

TIME HAS PASSED. what would have once been acceptable has been priced out by the pokemon’s experience. in this grand world of pokemon there are only a finite amount of different species. as each one is documented, scarcity dictates which ones still hold value. the longer she waits the higher inflation skyrockets.

I’VE SEEN THIS ONE, is its response to her mudkip.

even the gible is brought to her feet, squirming against mewtwo’s PSYCHIC hold.

The cowering Mudkip is rejected, along with the Gible that appears from behind a rocky outcropping, “Fine, I’ll take it then,” she return the Mudkip and whistles sharply, the hound turning their attention from Mewtwo and towards the dragon. The baby is no match for three full grown Houndooms. It really only takes one BEAT UP from Alpha to weaken it enough for Toni to toss a pokeball after.

It’s frustrating not knowing what is ‘accepted’ by the Creation. It can likely sense the sentiment as it prods her mind, “How am I supposed to know what you’ve seen and what you haven’t seen, then?”

The poacher tries again, this time releasing a Meowth.

THAT ONE IS POPULAR, it answers in response to her meowth. a sharp snap of its tail beats against the ground in disapproval. it raises its hand toward her, pointing with all three pads.
